Sample Ideas for Earring/Button tags

Here are some sample tags I created using stamps, colored inks and a little heat embossing. It's hard to see in the photos but the images that are embossed (the gold butterfly, black flower, black butterfly) are raised and shiny, it's a really nice effect. I love the way they turned out, of course I have some favorites. Tag size and the placement of the images and even the images can be moved around, any or all images can be heat embossed with black, silver or gold.

Christmas is just around the corner

My shop is quickly filling up with Christmas cards and gift tags and more :) I've been getting creative with my newest stamping sets so I can fill up my etsy shop and to come up with some designs for a Stamp a Stack Class, now in the planning stages. I really love this vanilla on vanilla card stock with the embossing, so elegant.

Spooky items are showing up at my Shop

I have some spooky cards at my Shop now, they were created with my Stampin'Up! stamps and card stock. I have found that I love their card stock, very heavy and sturdy, I will be using it exclusively from now on. In the past I have found problems with consistency in card stock weights and have been looking for a more reliable source, so I am extremely happy with my choice to become a demonstrator, it gives me access to high quality supplies, I get a discount, and I also have the opportunity to share with others through workshops and classes. I really want to offer my customers the highest quality possible in my handcrafted items.
So here are some newly crafted Halloween items....LilypondCrafts.etsy.com

the first question is at the top, and my answer to the second
question is right below the pic with the ladybug frame (and above

Charlie Horse Card

I want to share some of the newer cards I have created that are not christmas inspired. I love the way this card turned out, this is made from a new set of stamps I purchased, this horse image is really adorable. I started with an off white card stock, I then added a polka dotted card stock layer, I stamped the image on a leathery looking card stock, then hand colored it with prisma colored pencils. I framed the image with a dark brown and a complimentary green card stock, I punched the corners decoratively added a brown polka dot bow on one corner and a fabric flower in another and finished it with small pearl brads on the side. The inside is stamped with "Fluttering by with a thankful heart"
I currently have this card for sale at my etsy shop.

Christmas Bella from the red and green collection

Here's the Christmas Bella I made in the red and green collection, I know not exactly tomorrow, lol, but better late than never, ha ha. Her red and white outfit has glitter on all the white furry trims, it's hard to see in the photo, but looks good up close. I am also showcasing the reindeer card, I don't think I had this made when I took the group photo, but I liked the way it turned out so thought I would post it. Not sure if I will get anything posted tomorrow, just found out I'm going to have company for the weekend. Now I have to get busy and clean up around here. Have a great day!

Papercrafts I created for Mom's Birthday

This is an exciting post, I've been working the last couple of days on my mom's birthday gift. I made her an Iris Fold Rose, which I framed, a post-it note holder and matching lined journal, for her desk, and a paper bag scrap book with a travel theme. She just recently went on a cruise up to Alaska and I thought she would enjoy filling up a scrap book with pictures and souvenirs. Then I made a gift bag and a card and got it sent today. Pink is her favorite color which is why I used so much pink in all the goodies. I really love the way everything turned out, hope she likes everything as much as I do.

New Cards and Iris Folds

I have some new cards listed at my etsy shop, I've been playing with my Bella stamps, love them the girls are so cool. Anyway I have some new cards featuring Parisbella, Cakeabella, Lattebella and some new spiritual sentiment cards. There's a sample picture above. I have also been working on some Iris Folds, this technique if so cool, reminds my hubby of origami, but of course it's nothing like that, lol. Before I learned the technique I must say I was perplexed as to how they achieved the final product, and found myself imagining all these ways you might be able to do it.
Now that I know it is in some ways easier than I had imagined and nothing at all like I imagined, lol, if that makes any sense, the most difficult part is to continue the folds all the way into the iris. Many folders stop at the iris and add something complimentary to the middle, however I love the effect of bringing the fold all the way to the center, I'm still working on perfecting that technique but I am getting better, practice makes perfect. Above you can see a basket fold I just completed, I have a pear I also just completed but haven't as yet taken a photo of it. I have also created many new gift tags.
You can view all my new products at my etsy store www.lilypondcrafts.etsy.com

My Valentines

I have several cards I've created for valentines day, using new stamps and my cuttle-bug. It works great and is so much fun to use, I don't know how I ever got along without it, lol.
This card was created on red card-stock, I added 2 different pcs papers with a wide red ribbon between. The heart was stamped and colored with prisma colored pencils and placed on an embossed white circle and placed on a purple round-scalloped punch, which I attached with a raised glue-dot, to add dimension. Inside it is stamped with "Happy Valentines Day".

A valentine " Love in Bloom"

This card was created with a cream card-stock, I added a red-embossed background for the flower die, the flower was attached with a raised glue-dot for added dimension, the flower, stem and leaves are glittered. The 2nd photo features the inside with the adorable daisies and the little flower fairy in the center and "Love in Bloom" below.

More valentines

On this card I also used the rose stamp image that I painted with acrylics and added a die-cut butterfly accent, behind it I used pcs with a sheer ribbon overlay on the bottom I added a pink purse brad and a heavy label attached with a raised glue dot and printed "Be mine" on it. Inside I used a "Happy Valentines Day" stamp.

Valentines continued

This card has a simple layout, I started with wine-colored card-stock, I used the lace punch on the corners of the pcs and I used my round scalloped punch to place the glittered flower with the heart brad in the center and finished with the red-dotted ribbon bow. Inside is a stamped frame with a heart label.

Valentines

This card was created with a wine colored card-stock, I used floral pcs under the stamped rose image, the rose was painted with acrylic paints, I added die-cut butterflies, pink ribbon and used the cuttlebug to make the label stamped with "Love". Inside it is stamped with "Happy Valentines Day".

Valentine inspired papercrafts continued...

This card was created with off-white cardstock, floral pcs, the image was stamped with black and red and it's embellished with pink paper flowers with seed bead centers a heart rhinestone and cream and red ribbon. Inside I stamped " I'm thinking of you".

Valentine inspired cards and papercrafts

These two are basically the same layout/design with two different colors of card-stock for the base. They are both stamped with "Sealed with a kiss" on the front and the insides have a lip smooch stamped image. I also used a lace punch for the corners of the pcs.

New stamps and cuttlebug inspired cards

I've been going crazy finding and buying stamps, not literally, lol, and my dh got me a cuttlebug for Christmas, so I've been playing around with my new toys ;) Here are a few cards I created. The shopper girl is a Christmas card and the other 3 are Valentines, it's almost that time of year. I used my acrylic paints to color in the stamp designs, the shopper girl card says "Joy" inside. The embossed stamped card says "Sealed with a kiss" inside and I used my cuttlebug to emboss the background paper. The card with the flowers says "Thinking of you" inside and the embossed kitty heart card says "Love" inside. I have some more Valentine stamps on the way and am anxiously awaiting their arrival so I can create more Valentines. I'm still fairly new at creating handmade cards and am learning so much from all the other card crafters out there. Stay tuned for more to come. Thanks for stopping by.....
